I know that LTA (Travel expenses) can be claimed twice in Four years but what is the current block / coming block of four year.

Also please confirm LTA to be spent (Travel Expenses) Between JAN to DEC in any particular year, then if we do travelling in JAN OR FEB OR MAR in 2013, Whether we can claim the same in 2014 March I.T. details, because there is difference in F.Y.

The LTA spent between JAN to DEC on any particular year, what is time bracket (F.Y. period) inwhich we can claim the same.

Can we claim LTA together in a row of two years  or do we need to claim it in alernate years in the block of 4 years.

Seniors/Experts, pls provide details on my query.

Can someone pls provide answer for my query....

You may claim the exemption for LTA twice in the block of four years. Current block period is 2010-2013. There is no condition that you have to claim the deduction in alternate years. You may claim the same in 2 contineous years also. But it can be claimed maximum two times in the block of four years.

Thanks Mr. Bansal for your revert,

Request you to please confirm the period 2010 -2013 mentioned above means JAN 2010 TO DEC 2010 and so on.

In that case, if Some one has Incurred travel expense in JAN-2010 Month, in which F.Y. it can be shown under exemption. Whether April 2009 to March 2010     OR     April -2010 to March 2011.

regards

Shailendra

Here year 2010-2013 means Jan-2010 to December-2013.

LTA availed in Jan-2010 will be covered under the financial year 2009-10.
