LT Gain from Market Linked Debentures (MLD)

How and Where in New ITR 2, can I show L.T. Capital Gain from MLD, which were held for 15 months and matured in Jan. 2021 ?? Also, can I set off these gains against ST/LT Cap. losses incurred (in equities), in same F.Y. 2020-21 ??

Quick Summary
This discussion focuses on how to correctly report Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) from Market Linked Debentures (MLDs) in the new ITR 2 form. It clarifies that MLDs are considered trading instruments and explains how to declare gains from those held for over 15 months. The thread also addresses whether these LTCGs can be offset against Short-Term (ST) and Long-Term (LT) capital losses from equities incurred in the same financial year.

Sure you can because it’s a trading instrument and not dependable on contractual Cashflows.

Thanks. But, can I include MLD transaction in Schedule 112A, like other instruments, to report LT Gain from MLD ??
