I am web and graphic designer selling my products on my own websites since 2009. Most of my customer are located ouside India. I am based in Kolkata.
I am having Trade License (Propreitorship Business) under Kolkata municipal corporation and also have registered with IEC & Professional Tax.
Presently I am forming a LLP where myself and my wife are designated partners. I will register with IEC, Service Tax etc after the formation of the LLP.
My question: Do I also have to get a Trade License for the LLP from Municipal Corportation? Is it necessary? Can I open bank a current bank account for the new LLP without a Trade License?
I am not a CA. Purely from engieering background. Please help me to understand this.
