I could not link excel to tally.

I am getting this error.

Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Please advise what step I forgot.

in CLIENT/SERVER CONFIGURATION, is it necessary that I put

Tally is acting as : CLIENT.

in our system we put NONE.

I tried the same and is very very helpful...But cn u hlp me in my querry of how to link the TRAIL BALANCE, Profit & Loss A\c and Balance Sheet....!!

You may use different types of functon of Excel like linking and Sumifs. This requires only for 1st time, after proper linking you need to just Refresh

I am trying to link Tally ODBC to Excel. After following all the necessary steps, i get a box saying that "DATA SOURCE NAME NOT FOUND AND NO DEFAULT DRIVER DRIVER SPECIFIED"

Can anybody help?
