Limit on no. of articles

Hello,

I got my Membership no. and COP on 6th December 2010. I started my own propritory firm on 1st Jan 2012. Currently I have a limit of I think 1 article. However, when can I start having 3 articles?

The entitlement of members in practice to train articled assistants :

(i) An associate or fellow in continuous practice for a period upto 3 years - 1 Article

(ii) An associate or fellow in continuous practice for any period from 3 years to 5 years - 3 Articles

(iii) An associate or fellow in continuous practice for any period from 5 years to 10 years - 7 Articles

(iv) An associate or fellow in continuous practice for any period from 10 years - 10 Articles

So at present I can keep just one article. When can I start keeping more than 1 article? Is it counted calendar year wise(in which case what about year 2010 since I started in december) or strictly datewise(i.e I'll be able to keep more than 1 article from 7th Dec 2013?)?
