One of my client is registered under VAT. His total turnover is less than for the past 3 years and has not paid tax on the assumption that he is not liable to tax since his turnover is below 2 lacs. But the officer has issued notice for payment of tax. Is he correct. clarify

No i think he is not liable to any tax if he does not obtain turnover more than 5 lacs
