I would like to know to what extent a director/ shareholder of a pvt ltd company is liable for the bounched cheque (company cheque) on which he is one of the authorized signatories.

Thanks in advance,

Hello!

As per my views he can be considered as officer in default because he is authorised to act on behalf of co. and if he didnt wrk diligently then he would be considered as officer in defaault.......Rest in case if a aggreived party would sue then he would sue against co. not against director..............

Others views or clarification of learned members are solicited/...............
