in terms of excise branded goods means the goods manufactured by yourself which is not owned by yourself but somebody else, and here you can not take benefit of SSI on these goods, coz the brand owner is not eligible for it.
no need to imply any act, simply they bar the manufacturer to avail any benefit when the branded goods are produced/manufactured.
