Dear Ramacharan,
IAS is v tough for clearing, although not impossible. Just to give u a snapshot of it... every year 0.5-0.6 mln ppl fillup the forms for IAS prelims (which has become CSAT now) and out of that, only 600-900 ppl gets selected for various Bureaucrat levels.
I advice you to complete CA first. This will give you a backend support in case any negative thing happens while appearing for IAS. Further this will also gives you additional edge in terms of course content for IAS Mains.
IAS requires full level of dedication cause here you compete with lakhs of ppl which includes IITs, IIMs, Doctors, Engg etc. Just wanna highlight that there competition would be v tough. So it is better to keep a backend support (in terms of a degree) so that the same can be utilized later in case of any mishappening (god forbid).
Pls ensure to decide a choice considering all these aspects.
