Leave encashment-exemption

I have worked in a company for only 4 months. My gross salary was 35,000 p.m. At the time of leaving the company I also got leave encashment of 5,500. I want to know whether I can claim exemption of this leave encashment?

Is there any criteria of minimum service period for claiming this exemption?

If you are a govt emloyee then it is fully exempt at the time of reitirement or leaving job. But for non govt employee it is partly or fully exempt u/s 10(10AA)(¡¡)
