It depends upon one's interest.
Programming languages have got no boundaries...sheer interest & enthusiasm is required.
No as fas as our field concern it is not necessary.
But for your extra knowledge and ability it will be fruitful to you. And it is totally depend up on you

i too have learnt vb c++ c javascriptt
but i believe it will be useful for you if you learn vb as you can integrate it within ms office applications and make your work easier
