Is there any change in services of lawyers or advocates in terms of payment and collection of ST wef July 1,2012? Please comment only if sure

yes, now the service receipt is liable to pay service tax amount on reverse charge basis.

so now lawyers dont have to pay service tax on the services they provide??

i mean the recipient will pay ST...like banks, and other organisations??

agre wd vineet...the revrse charge mechanism is applcble on legal consultancy services wef 1 july,2012...

yes,the clients of lawyers wl have to pay st on legal services..
