Quoting section is not compulsory. But no doubt it creates a good impression if quoted correctly. About reading theory, you just have to understand the thing. So read it in a way you can understand it properly. In CA, its just about understanding.
And about cracking your Costing and FM paper, again its about understanding the concepts correctly and practicing it. Because practice will help you improve your speed. And try attempting 100 marks paper, that will surely help you clear the paper.
