So long as there are unfaithful men, there would be equally unfaithful women. One can not clap with 1 hand. Previously, women used to be coy. This prevented them from (multiple) illicit affairs. These days they have shed their inhibitions and are taking liberty. 

Yes, we agree that traditionally, men are more prone to promiscous nature than women. But, women today have become extremely shameless. Their shamelessness can even shame men. For eg. few male actors would dare to go naked whereas, there would be bevies of female species standing in queue to be  filmed naked ! 

After all personal experience is far superior than a biased research.
