For senior citizens with no income from business or profession, I understand that advance tax installments (15Jun, 15Sep, 15Dec, 15Mar) are not required to be paid. But if there is additional tax to be paid beyond the TDS, what is the last date for making the remaining tax payment so that there are no penalties or interest on account of delay in payment?
Is the tax required to be paid in full by 31-March or can it be paid before filing the tax returns by 31-July without any penalties / interest?
Question is for the current AY (2024-25). Thanks

Quick Summary
Yes you can make the payments when filing the income Tax returns. If it is a salary income then the company has liability to deduct & pay tds.

I was about to make the tax payment on 31-March but now I have deferred it till I am ready to file my returns in July.
