Lapse of provisional din-urgent solution required

Dear friends,

1) In the year 2007 pvt ltd was incorporated, at that time directors had applied for DIN and a provisional DIN has been alloted in the year 2007 which was used for incorporating pvt company. But after that they didnt care in filing any documents with ROC.

But now one of the director wants to incoropate a seperate Pvt. company (not related in any way with that old company), but the problem is the status of provision DIN which was alloted in 2007 was LAPSED.

my question is whether we can do anything with that LAPSED DIN ?????

or we have to apply again for fresh DIN again ????

Is there any penalty imposed if we apply for fresh DIN ???

Pls frnds help me in this regard..

2) while applying for DIN we have to attach Scanned copy of PAN card to DIN-1, but we have lost PAN CARD and no xerox copy is availble except PAN allotment letter from IT dept.

Whether we can use that allotment letter for applying DIN ???

or otherwise pls.tell me alternative solutions...
