Yes, i agree with VaibhavJ Ji, you properly said,   Learning and gaining of knowledge is depending on the streanght of the learner(student) but not depending on the author, Many of the students searching for the author's books which is in simple words and easy for understanding but that understanding is only limited upto writing of exam not for life time,  but while try to get understand the critical one by our self then we should be remember that for life long and never forget it and never depending on others for that.

   For simple understanding of my view following example,   If you travelled 1000kms by a good comfortable and air conditioned car then you didn't remeber the route what you travelled forever and don't knows about the critical ways of the route(because of it is comofortable car means you didn't have any journey tired)  but even you travelled 1 km by walk in summer having good temparature(sun) without shoes then you never forget about the route and you knows about the critical ways and you over came that critical ways and at final you reach a good position or place(may be it takes some time to reach) but you never feel about the critical ways if any such critical ways come to you in future then you easily overcame that and never feel fear for such ways and ready to face that and challange that.

                   In one word,   You are correct.

VaibhavJi , very nice analogy with an apt message. These days’ students are prodding about every issue with bigger alarm which is unwarranted. When the pass percentage was very high, they equated the course by calling it cheap like a Bcom course and now there are few disgruntled souls bombarding and provoking students to quit CA course. We all know when the results do not go in our favor, we feel bad but that does not give license to some people to denigrate the course to such level, without minding, some day they too will be on the other side of the bank.

My request to wise students is not to waste too much of your energy into unproductive activity as it will not revise your results. It’s better to focus on your immediate objectives and you will surely reach zenith in life very soon. Best of luck for your May / June 2014 Examination.

Rightly said Vaibhav....its on our potential and capibility that how we study and learn and not just by following a topper. Its necessary to know our own selves and analyse where we stand. Taking help of the toppers and knowing their way is not at all wrong, but blindly following them is totally wrong way.
