Hey all..

I want to pursue CFA in future, as I'm interested in its concept. I have a certain doubts, if I'll be able to cope with its syllabus. I'm currently a CA articled student. I just wanted to know this:

How is the difficulty level of CFA as compared to CA-IPCC? Or even CA-Final?

How long is the registration of CFA valid? Like, if i register now can i write exams after a year or so without having to pay the reg fee again?

Please do reply. Thanks!

Hey guys.. Please reply to this querry.. I'm facing the same doubts..

As a CFA student myself, I wont say you have to study hard for too long hours but you need to understand the concepts thoroughly, Best part is you ned to understand the concepts of everything, there is no such thing as pass marks or previous years question paper but there is a consensus that on an average if you get 70% and above in every topic of the exams, you 'may' pass.

Fees, once you enrolled to CFA, there is a registration fee plus exam fee.
Registration fees are 1 time and small amount compared to exam fees. When you register for CFA you automatically register for level 1 exam and there is no separate registration like CA has.
Also, if you dont sit for exam, you waste a chunk of money. If you dont clear level 1 after 3 years, you have to re register and if you dont clear all 3 levels within 7 years, you will re register.
