Dear respected members,

can you please solve a problem of journal entry.

their is a pateint (RAM kumar) bill of a hospital ,bill is of RS-27750

after dicount 2750

he paid 25000

now in this bill there is a consltance charegs also inculdes 700 of other doctor .which we will pay later to the doctor at the end of the month.

now i want a journal entery where discount is dividede in to the conltancy and to the hospital (200 for other doctor or consultant and 750 for hospital)

i have to show the other doctor charges,the hospital charges,the dicount dividede in to two part (hospital and consltant)

Hi Arun,

The Journal Entry is

CASH A/C Dr 25000

Discount Account Dr 2750

To Revenue Account 27750

As the External Doctor Payment is Different it is As per the Mutual Agreement Between your Hospital & the Doctor. you need to Pay as per agreed payment to the Doctor with out Considering the Patient Fees.

for the record i want to show the other doctor name also and want to include in this entry .so that i can see how much we have to pay at the end of the month

i have made an entery

cash 25000

consultancy exp 700

to paetint 25000

to doctor consultant 700

now i want to add discount .

can you please make a entry of discount.please
