Why accountants dont read novels?Because the only numbers in them are page numbers

The young accounting graduate, fresh out of uni and knowing everything, applied for his first job. The prospective employer asked him what starting salary he was looking for."Oh, around $100,000 a year, depending on the benefits package.""Well, how does this sound? Five weeks annual leave, 22.5% superannuation, paid expenses to overseas conferences every year, home telephone reimbursed and a company car replaced every 20,000 kilometres, say a Mercedes convertible."The graduate sat up straight and tried not to look excited. "Wow. Are you kidding?""Yeah. But you started it.

Sorry, I am not able to find any humour in this message.

What's wrong in asking $100000 p.a by the young accounting graduate. Is that humour?? It seems to be teasing or under estimating them!!......Rather it should be posted as a story in "Inspiration" section to highlight the boldness of a young accounting graduate for boosting the CCI members.

No profession is shining only with his qualification. I mean B.com or CA or MBA..... Only INTEGRITY/DEDICATION/KNOWLEDGE helps every individual to shine in their career.

In my experience, there are Accountants who are paid top rated salary by their employers for retaining with them for the above reasons.
