A company can buy a property like vacant land for godown, commercial property & staff mansion which is also used for business purpose.  Buying a residential property join with one of director contribution used to register in director name. But, there is a problem. 50% of share given by company know. It is treated as a income in the name of the director. The director may get scrutiny notice from AO. Please consult with your Chartered accountant or Tax Accountant.
Joint ownership 50% payment by the company
50% by individual

Sorry Sir, Did not understand the reply;

Is this kind of Joint Ownership permissible - i.e. can 50% payment be made by Company and 50% by Individual?

Which one you couldn't understand?

Sorry Mr Nagaraj.... Your reply was clear; Thank you;

I was referring to the reply posted by Mr Mukherjee, where it seemed like just a statement and it wasn't clear to me whether such a Joint ownership between a Company and an individual was possible or not.

Mukherjee always give a political reply at press meet. If you ask a question. He replys the same.

The director cannot face any scrutiny from AO DEOENDING UPON HIS SOURCE OF INCOME. DISCLOSE YOUR SOURCE OF INCOME.

You can register the residential property in the name of company. Claim depreciation on property. Then director's finance support through bank or own amount.

Note:

In the company, director share capital will be increased based on this contribution.

If you buy the property in your director name, remunaration will be increased.

Before come to the end, please consult with charted accountant or Tax Accountant.
