Service tax is one of these...

the State of Jammu and Kashmir has been accorded special status under Article 370. Even though included in 1st Schedule as 15th state, all the provisions of the Constitution which are applicable to other states are not applicable to J&K.

Finance Act 1994 does not apply...

Agreed with karanji..

finance act 1994 govering srvice tax provision not applicable ib J & k state.

It is a state which will soon be out of India if the same government continues..

What has Govt. done???? The state has made very impressive progress towards peace & stability in last 2-3 years.....It is also evident in the form of commercial activities in the Kashmir valley, esp. tourism, going up rapidly in last few years, which has lots of employement opportunities for the ppl of the state.

The Finance Act, 1994 related to Service Tax related provisions are to not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir.

Agreed with ankita. The state would have been lost very earlier , if the Indian Army had not been sacrificed its people.

Being a student of ca final, atleast you should have some data about this state.Do you know this is only state state of India where the lot of rules from any sphere  by the Central Government of India do not apply.

Mr Singh & Mr.Santosh Sharma, this Govt is not ready to amend constitution and to delete Article 370 which gives special status to this state.

Why should it not be treated like any other state if lot of money is being spent on it..?

Why can't people from any other state buy property in this state.?

It is acting like an independent country and only taking monetary help from India.

Ms. Ankita, where this goverment has time to think about this long pending issue. They are quite busy to looting the resources of  this country or making the fool of the fellow citizens.

Regards

Santosh Sharma

Both Miss Ankita and Mr Sharma are right...

Politicians are interested in lootmar of resources of country as well as people of the country.

jammu & Kashmir shohld be treated as normal state of india like other states.

thanks

Thank u Mr. Sharma & Mr. K S Patel

service tax is not applicable, but not know about others
