I am trying to file ITR 3 Java utility downloaded from the Income Tax website. Under the Schedule HP, I have only one house property but the Schedule is showing 2 properties by default, it is not allowing me to delete the 2nd property. I am unable to file it because of the error. Has anybody else faced this problem?
It may be technical error, download a new file to prepare ITR-3
I am also facing similar problem. It is my experience that IT department issues updated version of ITR to take care of such problems. Current version is PR2 lets hope that next version is issued early.
In AY 2014-15, there was another problem that ITR4 permitted deduction under 80TTA whereas income under OS was getting adjusted against business loss. During processing of ITR4, system detected this error and generated tax demand. This year also, similar problem exists in current version of ITR3. Solution to this is to pay tax as per own calcaluation, whichget adjusted during processing of ITR.
Problem of HP do not come, if there is no entry in schedule HP and of course in case somebody have two or more house property.
