Itr2 problems

I downloaded ITR2 form from IT website. This is the first time I am filing return myself. While filling the form I am facing some problems. I am using EXEL 2007 & have enabled all macros in Developer Macro Security.

1. All Buttons (Home, Index, Generate XML ,Help etc) on sheets are non-clickable.

2. Pressing IT Schedule displays message "Can't exit design mode because Control 'cmdNext' can not be created". On

pressing help button on the message box generates the attached message.

Kindly suggest, how can I solve these problems?

Thanking you. Best regards, RAKESH

When you open the  ITR2 file, a security warning 'option' arise just above the 'Formula Bar.'  Click the option.  Click 'enable this content'.  After this, all buttons are working properly.

Thanks. I did this before my post but does not help in the 2 issues mentioned by me. Will load a fresh copy of ITR-2 & will try again to see if it helps.

I searched on Google for "EXEC7000 Can't exit design mode because Control 'cmdNext' can not be created" and found many similar problems have been reported but no solution suggested. In one of posts it was mentioned that the problem started appearin after moving from EXEl 3000 to EXEL 7000. So seems it is related to the EXEL version. Has somebody used ITRs under EXEC 7000? May be he/she also faced similar problem & found solution?

Sorry read EXEL instead of EXEC  in my earlier post.

The problem with ITR-2 with EXEL 2007 resolved by following the instructions given in HELP.txt which accompanied ITR-2. The reason for the problem was Activex was enabled at the time of opening ITR-2. So follow instructions given in HELP.txt before opening ITR-2. The instructions are as under:

[Microsoft Office Excel 2007]

Navigate through the following excel menu options to reduce the level of security in executing macros :

Excel Options --> Trust Centre --> Trust Centre Settings --> Macro Settings --> Enable all macros

AND

Excel Options --> Trust Centre --> Trust Centre Settings --> ActiveX Settings --> Enable all controls without restriction and without prompting

Save the excel-utility and re-open it.

Best wishes. RAKESH

Sorry for minor mistake in above post. Kindly read The reason for the problem was Activex was not enabled instead of The reason for the problem was Activex was enabled.
