Hello Everyone,

I am refiling a rectified ITR 2 for FY2016-17 because I received an email for IT department regarding an inconsistency and I have to file the response within this month. However, I am unable to upload the XML because I am getting following error message while trying to upload ITR2 XML :

At line number 179 invalid content was found starting with element 'ITRForm:AddressDetail'. one of '{https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/master":AddressDetailWithZipCode}' is expected.

Can you please suggest how this error can be removed? Thanks in advance.

ITR 2.......... for AY 2018-19........... utility not released yet.

Earlier years' ITR 2 cannot be uploaded in this year......

Thank you for your reply Mr. Rambhia. However, I am actually refiling ITR 2 for FY 2016-17 under section139 (5), because I received a communication from Income Tax department regarding an omission. I am unable to upload this rectified XML on the ITR portal.

Please help.
