Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the rules around choosing between the old and new tax regimes for your Income Tax Return (ITR). Once you've filed your ITR for a particular assessment year, the chosen tax regime is fixed and cannot be revised. However, if your employer has selected the new tax regime for TDS purposes, you can still choose your preferred regime (old or new) before you file your own ITR.

No. For the particular AY the regime will be fixed, as selected in the beginning.
