salaried Income upto 6 lakhs. ITR not filed for AY2018-19. If filed today then what type of penalty imposed by IT dept.
Is there any way to wave the penalties and file ITR 1 TODAY.

*Rs 5000 penalty levied u/s 234F as per Your above said income value...

Fees for default in furnishing return of income, u/s. 234F........
Rs. 5,000/- if the return is furnished on or before the 31st day of December of the assessment year.... (but in case total income below 5 lakhs, the fees reduces to Rs. 1,000/-)
though the late fee is 5000 but limited to 1000 for person having total income below 5 lakhs...
