Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the correct Income Tax Return (ITR) form for the Financial Year 2021-22 (Assessment Year 2022-23). The user previously filed ITR-1 and ITR-4 for earlier years, with income from salary, interest, and tuition fees, and also from a boutique business. They are seeking guidance on whether to use ITR-1 or ITR-4 for FY 2021-22, especially if their boutique income has ceased and their total income is below ₹2.5 lakhs. The advice suggests ITR-4 may still be appropriate, particularly if there's any possibility of future business income.

If total income is less than 2.5lacs then ITR filing is not required.

You may use ITR-4
Provided he does not indulge in business in future.
