ITR form removing zero from beginning for challan number

ITR 688 views 3 replies

For FY 22-23 I filed ITR but its removing zero from the beginning of self assessment challan. Due to this portal is showing Tax credit mismatch. Any one else faced this issue for challans starting from digit zero. How to resolve the issue. Challan is 07605 , ITR is making it 7605 automatically.

This may not be the reason for tax demand or tax credit mismatch.

But challan should have 5 digits . Try to file offline. This problem may not occur

It will reflect automatically in tax paid table if you are filing ITR online.
It will automatically capture the relevant data.

No there appears to be a bug in software. When challan no starts with ZERO after validation it shows tax credit mismatch as experienced by many. However it seems IT dept considers this challan as paid and takes into account
