For fy 2018-19 (ay 2019-20), filed itr1 in March 2021;

In July 2021, the it portal showed outstanding demand; and in response, demand was paid in july 2021; and the same is reflecting in 26 as.

But ITR was processed in Dec 2021 and demand notice for same amount with additional interest till dec 2021 was sent.

The assessment made in. Dec 2021 by cpc did not not include my payment in july'21; thus my total taxes paid amount as at Dec 2021 is taken less ( under reported) and showed furthe demand.

I responded in Dec 2021 online to outstanding demand duly furnishing my challan details ( paid in July 2021).

IT portal still ( in Jan 2022) shows demand with further interest.

Pl advise

1. Whether IT will rectify itself.

2. What else I should do
