An assessee has filed his itr-4 in physical ,he was required to efile it.
What should be the course of action?
A. He Efiles his return directly without mentioning that it has been physically filed.
B. He informs the income tax department that his previouse return which he has filed physically has been revised electronically,
Note : While Efiling when you revise a return you have to mention a prior E-filing Ackn. no. of the original return.

you can very well file your revised return through online even though you filed your original return in physical form , as the physical returns are also processing through online. Since you are mentioning the acknowledge number of the original return the CPC can take the original return into ac

the isuues is my physical return does not have the acknowledgement no. that is required while i revise it online, the physical return will be processed but i will not get computerised acknowledment no.
when you revise a return online you need old online acknowledgement no.!
Its kind of confusing i hope sir you will understand my problem.
