where to disclose advances received from customers in ITR 4. when we enter negative figure, it got rejected by ITR 4 software. pls. resolve this query. thanks.

You can adjust it in main head say if the amount is going to paid shortly in future then show it with your current liability.
Regards
There is no specific line item for the same. You may show it under the Current Liability or reduction from debtors.
Net debtors should be shown.
