Itr-2 submitted but not verified: how to submit again?

Dear Experts,

I have following questions -

1. I submitted a ITR-2 and have not yet e-verified. But I have to make some corrections. Can I just submit another ITR-2 (upload the X M L) as "original return before due date"? or do I need verify this one, and then submit and verify another ITR-2 as "revised return"?

2. Under Schedule EI - Interest, do I need to include PPF interest even if I have not withdrawn? Or can I just include interest from tax free bonds if I have not withdrawn PPF?

The correct procedure would be to verify the return that is submitted. And then revise your return for the mistakes and verify that. One trick which sometimes works is to file a revised return and verify that alone, but that is not strictly on procedure.

Interest is on accrual basis so please go ahead and show accrued PPF interest in the Schedule EI.
