I made the payment for my ITR-2 through NEFT, which was filed through Quicko. I have the printout of the payment from NetBanking, showing that the payment was successfully processed. It's been almost 24 hours, but the status being shown on my IT portal under the Generated Challan section is "Payment not initiated." What should I do?
Normally it will take 5 to 10 days to reflect in the portal. Be checking in AIS-Reports for Tax paid confirmation.
Check if the payment was actually credited to the tax department's account. You can verify this on the income tax portal or by contacting your bank.

For last few years and also, this year, tax payments done online and if successful , show up on the Income Tax Portal immediately. And possible to download the challan.
If your IT Portal is showing "Payment Not Initiated" that means that your payment has not reached the Govt.
So have to chase your bank, quicko etc.
Regarding showing up successful payments in AIS, it can take a few weeks, so not very prudent to wait for AIS update.
