ITR 1 VALIDATION ERROR

The problem with this utility is that there are many hidden fields which are not instantly visible then and there. Later during validation you come to know about it. At any point you don't get a clear broader view of everything in one go unlike how it was in old Excel utility.

e.g. after adding STGC entry (ITR2)  system should have thrown breakup screen then and there but it never was visible. During validation it took me to that screen where breakup by quarter was expected.

Also if validation throws say 5 errors, you can not fix 5 all in one go. After fixing one, you need to validate again and keep doing it until there are no errors.

If you are using online try offline and vice versa. Also in offline check that you are on 1.0.2 version. Else download again and reinstall.

COULD ANYONE PLS TELL ME  whether  THE DUE DATE OF INCOMETAX WILL  BE EXTENDED 

They should if they have some integrity left. Also they should take the site down, do a thorough offline testing. If current vendor is incompetent (As the case appears to be) , reassign work to a new vendor and release it for next AY.

For this AY re-open old site with Excel utilities.

It has already been extended. You may check the circular that was issued in May.

They should extend it beyond 30-Sep

But old e-filing site is not working n recommending to use new portal.

Pls let me know if old  income tax site is working.tnx
