Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether customs clearing agents can claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) they pay for GTA services. The consensus suggests that if the agent is also a GTA service provider, RCM is applicable, and they may be able to claim ITC. However, if the agent is merely reimbursing the client for GTA services, the client is typically liable for RCM, and the agent should charge GST at 18% on the reimbursement.
Custom Agent must be paying to GTA on behalf of client & must be reimbursing the same by client.
So the Custom Ageny is paying to GTA then he is liable to do RCM (Kindly chk the bilty being raised by GTA) & while raising bill for reimbursement from client the custom Agent is required to change GST @ 18% .
