IT return for last few years

Dear All,

My hubby is working for a small comapny which runs by one propriter and its Packers & MOvers company. They dont provide any appointment lettr or any salaryslip or any fomr 16 nothing. So for my hubby we never filled a IT return. NOw we are planning to buy home and need Hubby's IT return for supporting documents. Please advise what should we do for IT return for my hubby?

My few doubts about TDS:

1) Can an individual get a TDS form from Government without involviong any comapny - as an individual?

2) If "1" is yes how and from where?

3) For me my company is filling a IT return file. But as an individual , if will get TDS from an GOV. then how to file an IT return for my hubby online?

Please revert urgenlty.

You have time to file ROI for the following AY:-

AY 2011-2012 (ie for the FY which is just ended on 31-03-2011) without any int & penalty, upto 31st July 2011

AY 2010-2011 (is for the FY 2009-2010) - if tax payable is Nil - No Interest but there will be levy of penalty of Rs. 5000, upto 31st March, 2012. if there is tax liability, Int will be levied @ 1% pm or part thereof on amount of tax due from 3oth July till the end of month in which you are going to file ROI...

Now, about your TDS query, now, you can find you tax credit by loging your account on incometaxindiaefillinf.gov.in. For the same, you have to create you account using you PAN.. You can also visit nsdl site about which I am not mucht familier.....

Thank you Arvind. But my doubt is how to get Form 16 as without Form 16 we cant file IT return. And my hubby dsnt have Form16 from company.

Please help

Form 16, ie TDS Certificate in case of Salary Income..., you can get it from NSDL site...

but here you need to get register first..

at the top of site, there is a button for SERVICE where you can find VIEW TAX CREDIT...

alternatively, you can get the same by registering on Income Tax site...

Here too, you need to get register ( https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/register.do?screen=registerPage1)

after conpleting registration, activate you account as directed through mail., and do login.

After login, you will find above right hand corner on the site, My Account.., going to this, it will show some items along with View Tax Credit Statement.., on clicking the same.., it will require DOB., then you will get the details how much credit of TDS you have for AY 2006-07 and onward.....

I hope you have got solution..., and if stil you are having problem.., then talk to any professional....
