yes. it is true . Even Know your PAN number in incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in is also not working for past 2 days . The site is hanging.

We uploaded ITR-5 on 18-08-08 and received a message on screen about the successful uploading and also the message that the acknowledgement, ITR V is being sent to the EMail ID. So far, we did not receive any acknowledgement (ITR V). We faced the same problem in respect of another case later. Is the site, incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in, erratic ? Is there anybody facing the same kind of problem? If so, what is the way out for receiving the ITR Vs. Thank You.

Text 'For Individuals and HUFs having income from a proprietory Business or Profession' is not the same as the fixed one: 'For indls and HUFs having income from a proprietory business or profession'
what do i do??? n e body came across this problem earliar?
I DID DOWNLOAD ITR 5 E-FILING SOFTWARE FROM INCOM TAX SITE,
DID FILL UP OFFLINE AND THE NEXT WAS TO VALIDATE THE FORM , BUT THE
BUTTONS ON THESE FORMS DONOT WORK AT ALL HOW TO VALIDATE THE
RETURN . PLEASE HELP.
Check the macros security level...under the Tools menu...
MACRO SECURITY LEVEL IS HIGH
hmmm.....set Macro Level to Medium or Low

Hello, You are right the Income tax department has not geared up to the load of work despite their tall claims. But there is no need to panic. After uploading the return, please go to the raight hand corner of the same page, where you find MY ACCOUNT. IF YOU LEFT CLICK THAT THERE WOULD BE DROP DOWN MENU WHERE YOU WOULD FIND MY RETURNS IF YOU LEFT CLICK THAT YOU COULD EASILY GET THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE RETURN YOU HAVE JUST NOW FILED IN PDF FORMAT. YOU CAN SAVE IT AND TAKE PRINTS AS AND WHEN YOU NEED THEM. HOWEVER DEPARTMENT IS CERTIANLY SENDING THE FORM V to the given email id at their leisure, say with in a week. If you need any questions please contact me Ravindranath N( Mobile 94400 26042 Hyderabad) I too had similar hiccups before I became immune to the delays of the department.
