4 years back, I had deposited differential tax at SBI counter thru challan and uploaded the same on portal while filing tax return. However, this year as refund is there, Dept issues Demand notice u/s 245 threatening adjustment. How to resolve this.
Please guide.
You need to check whether the tax was deposited with ITD. whether the challan is reflecting in form 26AS?
