Issues in getting provisional id

269 views 3 replies

We have been issued ST2 in 2010 from Delhi when we were operating from Delhi. Now, however, our base of operation is Bangalore. Now since to migrate to GST, even if someone has been registered in any of the states has to mandatorily register for GST, we are having issues in getting the provisional ids.

I am trying to get the helpline number of Service Tax Commisionerate III of Delhi to ask how to get a provisional id since we never actually registered online on AECS because in 2010, and whatever Service Tax we paid was done through EASIEST link using netbanking. Can anyone help me in this matter, as to how can I check my provisional id considering our registration is still active. How can and whom to submit the requisition to transacting business with CBEC through ACES.

Also, I want to know that in the worst case scenario, if we are not able to register before 15 June 2017, what will happen. Does it mean we can't do any business from July onwards. I am also not able to get clarity that in what slab Management Consultants would fall into (5%, 12%, 18% or 28%)

sir,
mangament conultanats will fall in 18% slab,

deadline of 15 jun 2017 is, for business who want to carry forward their input credit into the GST Regime,

regarding your service tax issue, have you tried calling service tax helpline no.?
CBEC Mitra Helpdesk by sending e-mail to cbecmitra.helpdesk @ icegate.gov.in or calling up National Toll-Free Number 1800 1200 232

I called the CBEC helpline. They said to call the Service Tax Commisionerate III from where the ST2 certficate was issued to get details of provisional id. I have been trying to call them but unable to talk to anyone.

Further, we have not claimed input credit. My question is that though we have a ST2 certificate issued from Delhi, our base of operation is Bangalore where we have not applied for ST from Karnataka. Do we still have to apply for registration under GST before 15 June or should we wait for new registration enrollment to begin considering the place of business is no more in Delhi.

sir,
service tax is central tax so it remaines same whether you applied in delhi or any where else,
only your registered address need to be updated in case of service tax no. that you have applied in 2010.

if you want to give a new start in respect to business from banglaore then, you should surrender previous ST no,

and wait for GSt to get applicable to get enrolled with that,
otherwise u can simply update registered address of existing ST no. and go ahead with the GSt migration process.

Hope that helped
