Issue of sales invoice for purchase return

Is it ok if a party has issued sales invoice(instead of debit note) to the same party from whom it has purchased those goods.There is no change in purchase rate of goods.

Yes, Party can issue sales invoice (instead of debit note) to the same party from whom it has purchased those goods.
According to my opinion it should not be fair because without any resons turnover of entity will increase for income tax purpose.
