Isca - help

Final 2108 views 27 replies

My first attempt in CA Final was in November 2013. I cleared 1st Group but failed 2nd Group due to ISCA.

My Marks in 2nd Group are:

AMA : 59

ISCA : 17

DT    : 59

IDT    : 53

I don't understand why they have given so less marks in ISCA eventhough I wrote the paper very well. I attempted the whole paper and I am sure I wrote 80% of the paper correctly with the right points. I have applied for the certified copies of ISCA paper to be delivered at my home.

I had studied ISCA from Devang Dalal book. My question to you all is this:

1.  Is there any chance of my clearing CA final due to revaluation in certified copies?

2. Should I change the book from which I studied ISCA.. If yes, then which book would you recommend?

Manish Valechha is much better ...M. Valechha is well written and easy to learn, all technical tems are explained with examples and diagrams... It is best book for exam. Do this with pm (no need to refer sm).

Thanks for replying. Do you know anyone who has cleared the november 2013 attempt after reading Manish Valeccha's book? Would it be covering the entire syllabus properly?

My friend who got the 4th Rank in Nov 2013 read Dinesh Madan's book.

Rishikesh,

Its tough luck for you coz in this 3% result you lost IInd group and espicially ISCA, As ICAI has given less marks in this subject throughout to all due to changes in syllabus in Nov 14 Exam . so nothing to worry whatever studymaterial you are using just continue with that also refer ICAI Material & PM for reference and no need to change  as per awarded marks. It happend with many CA aspirants who could not get through this time. Also Apply for Revaluation & certified copy for ISCA.. If god grace is there then ICAI will make any change in result. otherwise you will definately become CA in upcoming exam. Just Stick to you to u r studies n hope for the best.

Did u ask for retotalling for ama and dt... u have scored 59.. 1 mark more and can Get exemption. Try it my friend.. all the best !!

I would rather suggest go for Insti's study material and p.m as in ISCA Insti expects answers as per its own study module..Orlse Dinesh Madan is also good..as it is similar to Insti material juz the difference it is in form of Q-A nd in points format..You choose accordingly..Final choice is yours..All The Bestyes

This time i have prepared my own notes.... in my style and drafting covering whole syllabus...... finding it easy to memorize and retain.

I applied for retotally for AMA and DT. If I don't get my ISCA marks increased to 40, I hope at least I get exemption in DT & AMA

I have ordered Manish Valecha book on students' recommendations. Lets see how it is. I study practise manual and RTP religiously. But if the institute wants you to fail, nobody can save you. I have faced this harsh reality. Best of luck to everyone and thanks for replying.

U should learn points properly...u should not give point in excess.
Go for ICAI material + PM only

Manish Valecha Book is not at all a good option as it is very complicated to memorize topics from this book.....I also purchased that book...  &, I regret to buy that book........ It is better to stuck at ICAI Study Material rather than Manish Valecha.... Anyways U already ordered the book..... Give ur personal opinion too....

Well I must say ISCA is a target subject in 2nd group...ICAI should try to improve the standards for verfication of answers in such subjects.

Students can't mug up such entire syllabus with a range of highly technical terms from module and PM. I was also afraid of the same, I did past RTP's Nov"10 to Nov'13 n nothing else, and scored 43

Dont know how it happened, They dont have any kind of standardisation.

One suggestion is that if you present the same whats printed in study materials, You can easily crack this subject.

Well if you want isca book of Maniesh Velechha you can take from me it is a new book applicable for may 2014 I will give in less price. if you are interested you can call me in this no 7588746660
