PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

Requiring urgent assistance!!!

Kindly assist me regarding providing information pertaining to the applicability of Service Tax upon Mobile Medical Van or Services provided by NGOs or Hospitals for free of cost? and what would be the case if they charge very nominal fees of Rs. 100/- per person for providing such services?

Service by way of carrying passengers from their place to hospital or clinic BY AMBULANCE is exempt from service tax, No matter whether you have charged or not. Kindly refer details provision on relevant notification.

Thanks for your feedback. But my doubt here is regarding Mobile medical Van which is entirely different from an abulance or any vehicle that carry patients to hospitals. Mobile medical van is basically like a complete moving hospital or medical unit that includes doctors and other medical assistance and equipments almost as that of hospital. So is that Mobile medical van or service is exempt from Service Tax??
