Can anyone confirm if this is the last attempt for C.A.Final old course?
I have already cleared 1st group of Final.so does that mean I have to reappear if in both groups in New Course, if i don't clear 2nd group in this attempt.?
There are also some rumours that all paper in Final will have only compulsory questions.Please confirm this,as well.

yes.this time is the final attempt for old course.but it doesnt mean that if u are left with 1 grp only ,u have to appear in both groups in may again.

Yes nov,09 is the last attempt for final old course... unless extended by the institute. If anyone already cleared his first group under old scheme has to reappear in new course for the pending group only and nt for the both groups......

If 1st group is cleared and one paper is exempt in 2nd group, then....
u hv to appear in second group only........ but exemption may nt be carried forward...... in my opinion.........

An Important Announcement for Students of Final (Old) Examination – Extension by two more attempts i.e. May, 2010 and November, 2010 Students are hereby informed that the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, having due regard to the concerns of students belonging to Final (Old) stream, has decided to extend the Final (Old) Examination by two more attempts namely May, 2010 and November, 2010 Students concerned may note that the Council has made it clear that no further extension will be granted under any circumstances.
