Is my battery draining speed fast?

It's said that the battery will lose its capacity after using for some days. How to know the draining speed and how much power the battery has lose..Anyone knows how to maintain the battery?

I bought a hp 530 laptop about several months ago, sadly the hp 530 battery detection software informed me that it has lost 7.5% of its power. Is it a common phenomenon?

Additional question: Cpu temperature is about 10-40°C when i don't play games, and the the temperature of graphics card is below 50°C. Once i play games, the
cpu temperature rapidly reach to more than 50°C, while the temperature of graphics card is up to 70°C. In this case, will the hardware inside the window be harmed?Begging for answers.Feel free to share!!

Laptop battery loses its efficiency about 10-15% per year And some factors also affect to reduce the efficiency like Lots of gaming Using laptop on bed or lap or somewhere it could not exhaust its heat in well manner. Not utilising the battery in its full capacity i.e. should be fully charged when charging and should be used(discharge) till the level of 10% or less of battery.

dear sylvia,  first the all the, battery slowly decrease its capacity after a period of time i.e. after 1-2 years.  it is a very slow process just like battery lost its capacity in car, invertors, tec. the symptoms for low battery is less backup.  it doesn’t matter whether u use the laptop on the bad or on the lap that is why it is called laptop not desktop.

second, the temperature of cpu is controlled by the processor, the fan on the motherboard and SMPS control the heat generated by computer.  user is not concerned about the temperature  as user are unable to control the heat or temperature, it has been controlled by processor's fan.  if due to overheat your laptop reboot then there is the problem in the motherboard.

Hello Friends,

The Best solution is to make sure you completely close out of apps, and disable auto updates on apps that do so. To check is holding the BlackBerry Logo on the menu button on the keypad and you can see apps that is running and make sure your press ESC or select close or exit command from the applicaiton that you wish to close and avoid running behind the backgroud.
This is because u might be using mobile internet all day long.another reason can be u have put up a screen saver!furthermore if your Bluetooth and WiFi is on all day the battery can drain faster.

Thanks and Regards,

also do not charge battery frequently.. charge at once 100% then let it drain till u get warning for connect power cord..frequent charging of battery makes cells non usable & battery lifecycle decreases.

Thanks//Vaibhav
