HI Experts,

My relatve name is Saranya (a) Rani. How apply PAN to her . She woul like name in card Saranya @ Rani . Is it possible. If yes how fill form 49A in name feild, which document submit.( Her name shows all school TC , Family card , voter id is Saranya @ Rani)

ya in one column they ask how to do you like your name to be displayed on the card . There try giving the name you would like to.

There is a option in form 49a which allows us to choose the name to be printed on the card , so there you can give the name with initials. but while writing the name in the box 1 initials are not allowed. so you will have to expand the initials.

It is advisable to use fulll name as in most of the places they are not accpeting initials eg passport

you can buy a software to prepare tds returns or use free software available in the NSDL website.

Just go o n filing the details in it and you can file the etds returns.

You cannot generate Form 16 & 16A from the free software in paid softwares they will make it easy to use and to generate all the requisite forms

You need to check out the NSDL website were u hace to download a software naming RPU-2.30 "Return Preparer Utility" - version 2.30 is the latest. AFter dowloading you have to file the required data as mentioned in the data fields of the software..

Once the data is filed u have to click the save option and later on you need to click create files option..

A dialogue box appears where u will be asked to browse the file saved appropriately and you need to click the second option of browisng.. (beaware the second one only and not the first one please)..

once the files are crearted you have to burn the "3 html, 1 FVU and 1 TXT extended files" in a CD and prepare the form 27A as mentioning the specified data in it. The person whose return is filed needs to sign the same along with the FOR stamp and mention his capacity in it..

once u have done with preparing the CD and form 27A u have to submit the smae to NSDL outlet or agents (neares one can be known from the website itself).

Any minute mistake would lead to rejection of your return or the credit for the same would not be granted by NDSL.., so u need to file the detaisl perfectly...
