I doubt whether hard work is really paying off in CA final. I have myself and have seen my friends burning the midnight oil and fighting hard to survive each battle and the war. But alas the "pass" still eludes us. It is not that difficult to pass the final exams but the results that have come out have apparently shown that without LUCK one can never pass...
So again i get the doubt... Is it LUCK or hard work?
Hi Harish I can understand ur situation. But can u tell me have u ever evaluated your self before exams after completing the whole course.
If answer is:
Yes: Then it is the matter of Luck
No: Then there is a need to channelise your hardwork.
Feel free to ask for any help. Though it took me lot of attemot to Clear Ca. I should have been CA by 22 but right now i m 25. There is huge gap. But Still i feel that after failing too many times in Gr-2, i had the key to succed in Gr-2.

Further studying whole night every day before exams reduce the probability to succeed because in examination hall where ur mind needs to be alert to every twist and turn in question, it will not be so alert because u had not given any rest to your mind.
Believe me Just for 2 months devote 6 hrs a day and u will find no reason to study overnight.
It is ‘smart work’, that pays, not only in CA but in every walk of life.

I completely agree with u .I have given 3 attempts in grp 2 alone but not cleared till now. I managed to pass in each of the attempts but failed in aggregate. I missed exemptions in all the attempts by 2-3 marks in one subject each time.
It is not that ppl who write grp2 and fail don’t work hard r they don’t work smart.
The reason for failure in grp2
1. Costing paper is vvvvvvvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy lengthy for an avg student.( the carry over effect is disastrous as u have a holiday )
2. There is a bomb shell either in MICS/DT ( if the paper is easy, correction is smooth the student gets 10 to 15 marks more in the –ve.
3. IDT pattern is changing
Most PPl clear grp 2 primarily because of
1. MAFA surplus
2. Exemption in earlier attempts
Above all we have a wonderful president who is concerned about the quality of the students.

dnt make urself fool by saying that hardwork matters
only 6 people cleared both groups (that too with exemptions in previous attempts) in entire secunderabad
the figure is at 8 in total hyderabad
i dnt think that only 14 ppl worked hard in the 70+ lakh population of twin cities
