I am retired and presently work as Visiting Faculty at a few Colleges. There is no employer - employee relationship, and payments are made by the Institutes on per hour taught basis.
My query Is, as Visiting Faculty would I need to register myself for GST? If yes, what is the process?
if u r reciving remuneration less then 20l then not liable to register
Thank you for the prompt response...My total income (from other investments and FD interest etc) would be in excess of Rs 20 L; However, the remuneration as Visiting Faculty would be far lower, maybe around Rs 2 L; I gather from your reply that there would be no need for me to register for GST.
