Is gmcs compulsory

Dear all,

               I have registered for IPCC through Direct Entry Scheme in September. I know that ITT and Orientation Courses have to be completed for attempting the exam in May-2013. But now I've received details of GMCS and I'm not sure what this is.

Please tell me if this is required to be done for attempting the exam in May-2013
