Is eligible to attend trps examination...???

Hi friends, I have one doubt, Hope CCI friends will definetly clear this.

My friend is joined his Articleship Training On 10th March '2012 and preparing for CA _Final too. And he applied to appear for TRPS ( Tax Return Preparers Scheem ) Examination - 2012, which is going to be held on 16th of this month. Then his doubt is does he eligible to appear this exam as he is doing Articles at present.....?? If he passed this exam he will be given training to become a TRP, then is there any restrictions from ICAI in this regard....?? Plz help him as the exam date is very near .......
